Historic North by Surface Day 01: Drive to Desse. Day 02: Drive to Lalibela. Day 03: Full day visit of the 12th century Rock churches and Nun’s village. Day 04: excursion to one of the surrounding monasteries by car or horse riding. Day 05: Drive through Alamata Kobo mountain ranges to Mekele. O/N Hotel. Day 06: Drive to Axum, on the way, visit Tigray Rock churches. Day 07: Sight seeing of Axum. O/N Hotel. Day 08: Drive to Gondar through Semen mountain ranges. Day 09: Sight seeing in the town of Gondar, which includes the 17th century, Castles, and churches. Day 10: Full day boat trip to Baihrdar over Lake Tana, on the way visiting, the ancient island monasteries, Nerga Sillasie, Ura Kidanemehert, Azwa Mariam, and the Lake. O/N Hotel. Day 11: In the morning visit the famous Blue Nile falls and afternoon at leisure. Day 12: Drive back to Addis Ababa through the Blue Nile gorge.
